• Someone I Know Was Once Ripped Off By A Contractor, How Do I Protect Myself?

   

  Unfortunately there are people in the community that give reputable industries a bad name.  In our opinion these three main steps are a good way to filter out unwanted handymen and day laborers.  First make sure your contractor has a General Liability and Workman’s Compensation Insurance Policy in effect.  Call their policy providers direct to ensure premiums have been paid and the policy is valid.  Second, do not pay any contractor any funds up front for any renovations or repairs.  Third, make sure they belong to at least one association.  Many fly-by-night home renovation companies will not incur that extra expense that helps validate their business.

   

• Does Our HOA Have To Pay Any Retainer Fees Or Sign Any Long Term Contracts With New Horizon Residential?

   

  Absolutely not.  New Horizon Residential does not require property owners or HOA Boards to deposit retainer fees with us.  No more Power-of-Attorney over your funds with a company you have not built a relationship with.  When services are needed, simply contact New Horizon Residential for a-la-carte renovations or utilize our pre-defined maintenance services.  There are no long term contracts and you remain in full control of your funds and property.  We work hard to earn your business with every call.

• Are You Limited To Just Home Renovations And Building Repairs?

   

  We're here to help you with: Pools; Tennis Courts; Fences; Common Area Maintenance; Curbs; Sidewalks; Signage; and more. New Horizon Residential is your one stop shop for professional and affordable HOA needs. Also a senior management personnel will visit your property each quarter.  These visits allow management to see the property frequently and take pictures of concerns for your records.  These inspections by our management team help provide better quality controls for our field technicians to serve you.  

• What Happens When We Need An Emergency Repair?

   

  All HOA clients have access to our after-hours emergency contact number.  We have someone from our staff, not an off-site answering service, managing this telephone number.  Either the HOA can contact us, or you may publish our number in your HOA directory and then allow each home owner to contact us direct.

   

• Does New Horizon Residential Maintain Our Finances?

New Horizon Residential does not maintain any control over your finances.  HOA Boards are the people best suited to determine their budget needs.  HOA Boards are the ones with direct home owner input, without additional layers of bureaucracy formed by a third party management company.  By maintaining control over your funds, you are then in charge of determining when and at what cost property renovations and maintenance items are completed.  Since we do not know what your budget balance is, we must stay competitive in our pricing of services.  Also, since there are no long term contracts with us, we work hard to earn your business with every call
